The Skyliners were an American doo-wop group from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, formed in 1958. The group's original lineup consisted of lead singer Jimmy Beaumont, Janet Vogel, Wally Lester, Jackie Taylor, and Joe Verscharen. They are best known for their hit song "Since I Don't Have You," which reached #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1959. The song has since become a doo-wop classic and has been covered by numerous artists.
The Skyliners continued to release music throughout the 1960s, with their other notable songs including "This I Swear" and "Pennies from Heaven." Despite several lineup changes over the years, the group continued to perform and record music, maintaining a loyal fan base. The Skyliners were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2002, recognizing their contribution to the doo-wop genre.
