Artist Bio:
The Skyliners were an American doo-wop group formed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1958. The group's original members were Jimmy Beaumont, Janet Vogel, Wally Lester, Jackie Taylor, and Joe Verscharen. They are best known for their 1959 hit single "Since I Don't Have You," which reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has since become a classic and has been covered by numerous artists over the years.
The Skyliners continued to release music throughout the 1960s, but they never achieved the same level of success as they did with "Since I Don't Have You." Despite this, they remained popular on the oldies circuit and continued to perform live shows. The group was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2002. Today, the legacy of The Skyliners lives on through their timeless music and performances.
