The Skyliners were an American doo-wop group formed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1958. The original members included Jimmy Beaumont, Janet Vogel, Wally Lester, Jackie Taylor, and Joe Verscharen. They are best known for their 1959 hit single "Since I Don't Have You," which reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has since become a doo-wop classic and has been covered by various artists.
The Skyliners continued to release music throughout the 1960s, including songs like "This I Swear" and "Pennies from Heaven." They briefly disbanded in the early 1970s but reunited in the 1980s and continued to perform and record music. The Skyliners were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2002 and their music remains popular among doo-wop and oldies music fans.
