Artist Bio:
The Sopwith "Camel" was a British First World War biplane fighter aircraft introduced on the Western Front in 1917. It was one of the most successful and iconic fighter aircraft of the war, known for its agility and maneuverability in combat. The Sopwith Camel was credited with shooting down more enemy aircraft than any other Allied fighter during the war.

Designed by the Sopwith Aviation Company, the Sopwith Camel was powered by a rotary engine and armed with twin synchronized Vickers machine guns. It had a top speed of around 113 mph and a service ceiling of 21,000 feet. The Sopwith Camel played a crucial role in achieving air superiority for the Allies during the later years of World War I.
