The Soul Children released several successful albums in the 1970s on the Stax Records label, including hits like "The Sweeter He Is" and "I'll Be the Other Woman." They were known for their combination of gospel-infused lyrics with a contemporary soul sound. The group disbanded in the late 1970s, but their music continues to be celebrated for its contribution to the soul and R&B genres.
