The Soup Dragons were a Scottish alternative rock band formed in 1985 in Bellshill, Scotland. The band's original lineup consisted of Sean Dickson (vocals, guitar), Sushil Dade (guitar), Jim McCulloch (bass), and Ross Sinclair (drums). They gained popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s with their blend of indie rock, pop, and dance music.

The Soup Dragons released several albums during their career, including "This Is Our Art" (1988) and "Lovegod" (1990), which featured their most successful single "I'm Free," a cover of a Rolling Stones song. The band achieved international success with "I'm Free" reaching the top 5 in the UK charts and being featured in a Levi's commercial. The Soup Dragons disbanded in 1995, with members pursuing other musical projects.
