The Spellbinders were an American soul group formed in 1964 in New Jersey. The group consisted of lead singer Bobby Shivers, James "J.R." Bailey, McArthur Munford, and Ben Grant. They were known for their harmonious vocals and energetic live performances, which helped them gain popularity in the music scene of the 1960s.
The Spellbinders released several singles during their career, including "Chain Reaction" and "Help Me (Get Myself Back Together Again)," which both achieved moderate success on the R&B charts.
