Artist Bio:
The Spencer Davis Group was a British rock band formed in Birmingham in 1963. The group was named after its founder and lead guitarist, Spencer Davis, who recruited Steve Winwood as the lead vocalist and keyboardist, along with Muff Winwood on bass and Pete York on drums. The band was known for their rhythm and blues sound, incorporating elements of rock and pop music.

Their most famous hit songs include "Gimme Some Lovin'" and "I'm a Man," both of which were released in the mid-1960s and became international hits. The Spencer Davis Group was a popular live act during the British Invasion era and continued to release music until they disbanded in 1969. Despite their relatively short career, the band's influence on the rock music scene of the 1960s was significant, and they are remembered as one of the pioneering groups of the era.
