The Spinners are an American R&B vocal group that was formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1954. Originally known as the Domingoes, the group went through several lineup changes before settling on the classic lineup of Henry Fambrough, Billy Henderson, Pervis Jackson, C.P. Spencer, and James Edwards. In the 1970s, the group rose to fame with a string of hits including "I'll Be Around," "Could It Be I'm Falling in Love," and "The Rubberband Man." The Spinners are known for their smooth harmonies, soulful sound, and energetic live performances. They were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1999.
Throughout their career, The Spinners have released numerous albums and singles, earning them multiple Grammy Award nominations.
