The Statler Brothers were an American country music group that was formed in 1955 in Staunton, Virginia. The original members of the group were Harold Reid, Phil Balsley, Lew DeWitt, and Don Reid. They began their career singing gospel music before transitioning to country music in the late 1960s.
The Statler Brothers achieved great success in the country music industry, with hits such as "Flowers on the Wall" and "Bed of Rose's". They won several awards including multiple Grammy Awards and were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008. The group continued to perform and record music until they retired in 2002. Their tight harmonies and heartfelt lyrics have left a lasting impact on the country music genre.
