The group consisted of Harold Reid, Phil Balsley, Lew DeWitt, and Don Reid, with Harold serving as the lead singer. They gained popularity for their close harmonies and gospel influences. Over their career, The Statler Brothers released many successful albums and singles, including hits like "Bed of Roses" and "Do You Know You Are My Sunshine." They were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008 and continued to perform until their retirement in 2002.
