Artist Bio:
The Stereos were a Canadian pop group formed in 1962 in Edmonton, Alberta. The original members of the band were Fred Keeler, Mike Johnson, and Ronnie King. They achieved commercial success with their debut single "I Really Love You," which reached number 3 on the Canadian RPM chart and number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States in 1961. The song also earned the band a gold record.
The Stereos released several more singles throughout the 1960s, including "Please Come Back to Me" and "A Love for Only You," but they were unable to replicate the success of their debut single. The band eventually disbanded in the late 1960s. Despite their short-lived career, The Stereos made a significant impact on the Canadian music scene during the early 1960s.
