The band was fronted by Steve Miller, a singer-songwriter and guitarist, who remains the only consistent member throughout the band's career. The group achieved mainstream success in the 1970s with hit songs such as "The Joker," "Take the Money and Run," and "Fly Like an Eagle."

Known for their blues-infused rock sound, The Steve Miller Band has released over 18 studio albums and sold millions of records worldwide. They have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and continue to tour and perform to this day, with Miller's distinctive vocals and guitar playing remaining a hallmark of the band's sound.
