Artist Bio:
The Strangeloves were a 1960s American band known for their hit song "I Want Candy." The band was a fictional group created by a group of successful songwriters and producers, Bob Feldman, Jerry Goldstein, and Richard Gottehrer. The trio had previously written and produced songs for other artists before deciding to create a band of their own.

The Strangeloves claimed to be three Australian brothers named Giles, Miles, and Niles Strange, but in reality, they were Feldman, Goldstein, and Gottehrer. The band's image and backstory were designed to capitalize on the popularity of British Invasion bands at the time. Despite the fictional nature of the band, "I Want Candy" became a hit in 1965, reaching the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The Strangeloves continued to release music throughout the 1960s, but they never matched the success of their debut single.
