Artist Bio:
The Style Council was a British band formed in 1983 by Paul Weller, the former lead singer and guitarist of The Jam. The band also consisted of Mick Talbot on keyboards and various other musicians who collaborated with them. The Style Council was known for blending various musical styles like soul, funk, jazz, and pop, creating a unique sound that set them apart from Weller's previous punk rock band, The Jam.

The Style Council released several successful albums in the 1980s, including "Café Bleu" (1984) and "Our Favourite Shop" (1985). They achieved commercial success with hit singles like "Shout to the Top!" and "Long Hot Summer." The band's politically charged lyrics and stylish, sophisticated image made them a popular act during the decade. Despite disbanding in 1989, The Style Council's music continues to be celebrated for its innovation and influence on the British music scene.
