The Sunrays were an American rock band formed in 1964 in California. They achieved moderate success in the mid-1960s with their surf rock and sunshine pop sound. The band's original lineup consisted of Rick Henn, Eddy Medora, Marty DiGiovanni, Vince Hozier, and Byron Case.
The Sunrays are best known for their hit single "I Live for the Sun," which was released in 1965 and reached the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The band released several albums and singles throughout the 1960s, but they never reached the same level of success as some of their contemporaries. Despite their limited commercial success, The Sunrays are remembered for their contribution to the surf rock and sunshine pop genres during the 1960s.
