Artist Bio:
The Sunshine Company was an American sunshine pop band formed in Los Angeles in 1967. The group consisted of members Mary Nance, Maury Manseau, Larry Sims, Merle Brigante, and Vince Charles. They are best known for their hit single "Happy," which peaked at number 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1967. The song was characterized by its upbeat melody, lush harmonies, and catchy lyrics, typical of the sunshine pop genre popular in the late 1960s.
The Sunshine Company released two studio albums during their career: "Happy Is The Sunshine Company" in 1967 and "Sunshine Company" in 1968. Despite limited commercial success, the band is remembered for their contributions to the sunshine pop sound of the era. The Sunshine Company disbanded in the early 1970s as the popularity of the genre waned.
