Artist Bio:
The Supremes were an American vocal group formed in Detroit in 1959. The original lineup consisted of Diana Ross, Mary Wilson, and Florence Ballard. They quickly rose to fame under the guidance of Motown Records founder Berry Gordy and became one of the most successful vocal groups of the 1960s. With hits like "Where Did Our Love Go," "Baby Love," and "Stop! In the Name of Love," The Supremes achieved mainstream success and paved the way for future R&B and pop acts. Diana Ross later embarked on a successful solo career, while the group continued with new members after her departure in 1970. The Supremes were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.
