Artist Bio:
The Supremes were an American female singing group that achieved great success in the 1960s. The original members of the group were Diana Ross, Mary Wilson, and Florence Ballard. They were signed to Motown Records and quickly became one of the label's most successful acts. The Supremes were known for their polished performances, glamorous style, and tight harmonies.
The group had a string of hit singles, including "Where Did Our Love Go," "Baby Love," and "Stop! In the Name of Love," which all topped the charts in the 1960s. They were also the first Motown act to have a number-one album on the Billboard 200 chart. Diana Ross eventually left the group to pursue a solo career in 1970, and The Supremes continued with new members until disbanding in 1977. The Supremes are considered one of the most successful and influential girl groups in music history, with 12 number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
