After Barbara Martin left the group in 1962, The Supremes continued as a trio and went on to achieve mainstream success with hits like "Baby Love," "Stop! In the Name of Love," and "You Can't Hurry Love." The Supremes became one of Motown's most successful acts and were the most successful American vocal group of the 1960s. Diana Ross eventually left the group in 1970 to pursue a solo career, leading to the end of the original lineup of The Supremes.
