Throughout their career, The Supremes had 12 number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and were the most commercially successful Motown act. Diana Ross, in particular, went on to have a successful solo career after leaving the group in 1970. The Supremes were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.
