Artist Bio:
The Supremes were an American female singing group that achieved fame in the 1960s. The group was originally formed as The Primettes in Detroit, Michigan, in 1959, and eventually changed their name to The Supremes. The group's original members were Diana Ross, Mary Wilson, and Florence Ballard. Diana Ross emerged as the lead singer, and the group quickly became one of the most successful acts in Motown Records, with a string of hit songs including "Baby Love," "Stop! In the Name of Love," and "You Can't Hurry Love."

The Supremes were known for their polished performances, glamorous style, and smooth harmonies. They became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time, with 12 number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The group's success helped pave the way for future female singing groups and established them as icons of the Motown sound.
