Artist Bio:
The Supremes were an American female singing group that achieved fame in the 1960s. Originally founded as The Primettes in Detroit in 1959, the group eventually signed with Motown Records and became known as The Supremes. The group's original lineup consisted of Florence Ballard, Mary Wilson, and Diana Ross. Throughout the 1960s, The Supremes became one of Motown's most successful acts, with hits like "Baby Love," "Stop! In the Name of Love," and "You Can't Hurry Love." Diana Ross eventually left the group for a solo career in 1970, and The Supremes continued with new members until disbanding in 1977.
