The Swallows were an American rhythm and blues vocal group formed in Baltimore, Maryland in the early 1950s. The group consisted of members Earl Hurley, Norris "Bunky" Mack, Norris "Buzzy" Mack, Frederick "Money Guitar" Johnson, and Eddie Rich. They were known for their tight harmonies and energetic performances that captivated audiences during the doo-wop era.


The Swallows gained popularity in the 1950s with hits such as "Beside You," "Will You Be Mine," and "It Ain't the Meat." They were signed to King Records and released several singles throughout the decade. The Swallows' music has been influential on later generations of doo-wop and rhythm and blues artists. Despite their relatively short-lived career, The Swallows left a lasting impact on the music scene of the 1950s.
