Artist Bio:
The Swinging Blue Jeans were a British rock band formed in Liverpool in 1961. They were part of the Merseybeat scene that also produced bands like The Beatles and The Hollies. The original members of the band were Ray Ennis, Les Braid, Ralph Ellis, and Norman Kuhlke. Their most well-known hit is "Hippy Hippy Shake," which reached the top five of the UK Singles Chart in 1964 and was later covered by The Beatles during their early performances.

The Swinging Blue Jeans continued to release music throughout the 1960s and 1970s, with moderate success in the UK and the US. They toured extensively during this time, performing in both the UK and the US. The band experienced some lineup changes over the years, but they remained active in the music industry, particularly in the nostalgia and oldies circuit. Despite not achieving the same level of fame as some of their Merseybeat counterparts, The Swinging Blue Jeans are still remembered for their contributions to the British rock music scene of the 1960s.
