The Temptations are an American vocal group known for their soulful harmonies and polished performances. Formed in Detroit in 1960, the group has undergone numerous lineup changes over the years. Their classic lineup, which included members such as Otis Williams, Melvin Franklin, Eddie Kendricks, Paul Williams, and David Ruffin, produced some of their biggest hits in the 1960s and 1970s.


The Temptations are best known for their chart-topping hits such as "My Girl," "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone," and "Ain't Too Proud to Beg." They have won multiple Grammy Awards and are considered one of the most successful and influential vocal groups in music history.
