The band's lineup consisted of Roky Erickson as the lead vocalist, Stacy Sutherland on guitar, Tommy Hall on electric jug, John Ike Walton on drums, and Ronnie Leatherman on bass.
The Thirteenth Floor Elevators released their debut album, "The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators," in 1966, which is considered a classic of the psychedelic rock genre. The band's music often featured themes of consciousness expansion, rebellion against mainstream society, and psychedelic experiences.
