Artist Bio:
The Time is an American music group formed in Minneapolis in 1981. The band was created by Prince as a side project to his own music. The original lineup consisted of Morris Day on vocals, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis on instruments, Jerome Benton on percussion, and Monte Moir on keyboards.


Known for their unique blend of funk, R&B, and dance music, The Time released several successful albums in the 1980s, including "The Time" and "What Time Is It?". Some of their most popular songs include "Jungle Love" and "The Bird". The Time also gained popularity through their energetic live performances and their appearances in the movie "Purple Rain" alongside Prince. Despite multiple lineup changes over the years, The Time remains a well-respected and influential group in the world of funk and R&B music.
