Artist Bio:
The Timelords was a British electronic music duo consisting of Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty. They are best known for their 1988 hit single "Doctorin' the Tardis," which reached number one on the UK Singles Chart. The song is a mashup of the Doctor Who theme music, Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll (Part Two)," and the Sweet's "Block Buster!" The Timelords released the song under the KLF Communications record label.

In addition to "Doctorin' the Tardis," The Timelords also released an album titled "The Manual (How to Have a Number One the Easy Way)" in 1988. The album provided a tongue-in-cheek guide to achieving a number one hit single. After their brief stint as The Timelords, Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty went on to form The KLF, a highly successful electronic music group known for their innovative and controversial music and performance art.
