Artist Bio:
The Tokens were an American doo-wop group formed in 1955 in Brooklyn, New York. The original members were Neil Sedaka, Hank Medress, Eddie Rabkin, and Cynthia Zolotin. The group is best known for their hit single "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1961. The song has since become a classic and has been featured in numerous movies, TV shows, and commercials.

The Tokens continued to record and perform throughout the 1960s and 1970s, releasing several albums and singles. They also worked as producers for other artists, including The Chiffons and Tony Orlando. The group was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004. Despite changes in the lineup over the years, The Tokens remained active in the music industry until the early 2000s.
