Artist Bio:
The Tokens were an American doo-wop group formed in 1955 in Brooklyn, New York. The original members were Hank Medress, Neil Sedaka, Eddie Rabkin, and Cynthia Zolotin. They are best known for their hit single "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1961. The song has been covered by numerous artists and featured in various films and commercials over the years.

The Tokens continued to record and perform throughout the 1960s and 1970s, although with various lineup changes. They also worked as producers for other artists, including Tony Orlando and Dawn. The group was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004. Hank Medress passed away in 2007, but The Tokens' music continues to be celebrated for its contribution to the doo-wop genre.
