Artist Bio:
The Tourists were a British rock and pop band formed in 1977. The band consisted of lead vocalist Annie Lennox and guitarist Dave Stewart, who later went on to achieve international success as the duo Eurythmics. Other members of the band included Eddie Chin on bass, Jim Toomey on drums, and Peet Coombes on guitar. The Tourists released three studio albums during their career: "The Tourists" in 1979, "Reality Effect" in 1979, and "Luminous Basement" in 1980. Their music was characterized by a mix of new wave, pop, and rock elements.

The Tourists achieved some commercial success with their single "I Only Want to Be with You," which reached the top 10 in the UK charts. Despite their moderate success, the band disbanded in 1980. Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart then formed Eurythmics, which went on to become one of the most successful musical duos of the 1980s.
