Formed in Essex in 1958, the band originally consisted of Brian Poole, Rick Westwood, Alan Blakely, Alan Howard, and Dave Munden. Poole left the band in 1966, and they continued as a four-piece group, with Munden taking over as the lead vocalist. The Tremeloes achieved significant commercial success with hits such as "Silence Is Golden," "Here Comes My Baby," and "Even the Bad Times Are Good."
The band was known for their catchy pop-rock sound and harmonies, and they were popular in the UK and internationally during the 1960s. The Tremeloes were part of the British Invasion music scene that swept the United States and other parts of the world during that era. Despite several lineup changes over the years, the band continued to perform and release music, maintaining a dedicated fan base.
