The Tremeloes are a British rock and roll band that achieved success in the 1960s. They formed in 1958 in Dagenham, Essex, and were initially called "Brian Poole and the Tremeloes." The band's lineup has changed over the years, but the most successful period for the Tremeloes was in the mid-1960s when they released a string of hit singles.


The Tremeloes are best known for their cover of "Silence Is Golden," which reached the top of the UK Singles Chart in 1967. Other popular songs by the band include "Here Comes My Baby" and "Even the Bad Times Are Good." The Tremeloes continued to perform and record music throughout the 1970s and 1980s, maintaining a loyal fan base.
