The band's core lineup consists of singer Fee Waybill, guitarist Roger Steen, drummer Prairie Prince, keyboardist Vince Welnick, and bassist Rick Anderson. Known for their elaborate stage performances and satirical lyrics, The Tubes gained popularity for their theatrical live shows that often featured elaborate costumes, props, and multimedia presentations.
