Artist Bio:
The Turtles were an American rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, California. The band's original lineup consisted of Howard Kaylan, Mark Volman, Al Nichol, Jim Tucker, and Don Murray. They achieved their biggest success in the mid-1960s with their hit single "Happy Together," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1967. The song became an iconic anthem of the era and solidified the band's place in music history.

The Turtles released several other popular singles, including "She'd Rather Be with Me" and "Elenore," before disbanding in 1970. Members Kaylan and Volman later joined Frank Zappa's band, The Mothers of Invention, and continued to perform and record music under the name Flo & Eddie. The Turtles were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2009, recognizing their contribution to the music industry during the 1960s.
