The Tymes were an American soul vocal group formed in Philadelphia in the 1950s. The original members were George Hilliard, Albert Berry, Norman Burnett, and Donald Banks. They are best known for their hit songs "So Much in Love" and "Ms. Grace." "So Much in Love" was released in 1963 and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song also earned the group a gold record. The Tymes continued to have moderate success throughout the 1960s and 1970s, releasing several albums and singles.


The Tymes' smooth harmonies and soulful sound made them popular in the R&B and doo-wop music scenes. They were considered one of the leading vocal groups of their time. The Tymes' music is still cherished by fans of classic soul and R&B music.
