The Tymes are an American soul vocal group that enjoyed success in the 1960s and 1970s. The group was formed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the early 1960s and originally consisted of members George Hilliard, Albert "Caesar" Berry, Norman Burnett, and Donald Banks. They signed with the label Parkway Records and released their debut single, "So Much In Love," in 1963, which became a major hit, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The Tymes continued to release a string of successful singles throughout the 1960s and 1970s, including "Wonderful! Wonderful!" and "People." They also achieved success with their albums, such as "So Much In Love" and "Trustmaker." The Tymes were known for their smooth harmonies and romantic ballads, which helped solidify their place in the history of soul music.
