The Valentinos were an American R&B vocal group formed in 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio. The group originally consisted of five brothers ΓÇô Bobby Womack, Friendly Womack Jr., Curtis Womack, Harry Womack, and Cecil Womack. They were discovered by Sam Cooke and signed to his label SAR Records in the early 1960s.
The Valentinos are best known for their hit song "It's All Over Now," which was written by Bobby Womack and became a major success when covered by The Rolling Stones in 1964. The Valentinos continued to release music throughout the 1960s and 1970s, but never achieved the same level of commercial success as their cover by The Rolling Stones. Despite this, they are remembered as an influential R&B group from the 1960s.
