The Ventures are an American instrumental rock band formed in 1958 in Tacoma, Washington. They are considered one of the most influential bands in the history of rock music, known for their surf music sound, catchy melodies, and innovative use of guitar effects. The original lineup consisted of Don Wilson, Bob Bogle, Nokie Edwards, and Howie Johnson.


The Ventures have released over 250 albums and have sold more than 100 million records worldwide. They are best known for their hit singles "Walk, Don't Run" and "Hawaii Five-O," which have become iconic songs in the surf rock genre. The band has also been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Surf Music Hall of Fame, solidifying their legacy as pioneers in instrumental rock music.
