Artist Bio:
The Waitresses were an American new wave band formed in Akron, Ohio in 1978. The band was fronted by lead vocalist Patty Donahue and was known for their quirky, sardonic lyrics and catchy pop hooks. Their most famous song is "Christmas Wrapping," released in 1981, which has become a holiday classic.

Although The Waitresses achieved limited commercial success, they were well-received by critics and developed a cult following for their unique sound and style. The band disbanded in 1984 but left a lasting impact on the new wave and alternative music scenes. Patty Donahue tragically passed away in 1996, but The Waitresses' music continues to be celebrated for its wit and innovation.
