The Whispers are an American R&B/soul vocal group formed in 1964 in Los Angeles, California. The group initially consisted of twin brothers Walter and Wallace Scott, along with Nicholas Caldwell, Marcus Hutson, and Gordy Harmon. They are known for their smooth harmonies, romantic ballads, and polished choreography.


Throughout their career, The Whispers have released numerous hit songs, including "And the Beat Goes On," "Rock Steady," and "Lady." They have also received several Grammy nominations and are considered one of the pioneering groups in the evolution of R&B music.
