The Who are an English rock band formed in 1964. The original lineup consisted of Roger Daltrey on vocals, Pete Townshend on guitar, John Entwistle on bass, and Keith Moon on drums. They are known for their energetic live performances and their unique blend of rock music with elements of pop art and opera. The band has been credited with pioneering the rock opera genre with their 1969 album "Tommy."

The Who have released numerous hit songs, including "My Generation," "Baba O'Riley," "Won't Get Fooled Again," and "Pinball Wizard." They have also been recognized for their influence on the development of rock music, particularly in the areas of loud amplification and distortion. The Who have sold over 100 million records worldwide and have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Despite lineup changes and personal tragedies over the years, The Who continue to perform and record music to this day.
