The Young Rascals, later known as just The Rascals, were an American rock band formed in 1965 in New York City. The group consisted of vocalist Eddie Brigati, keyboardist and vocalist Felix Cavaliere, guitarist Gene Cornish, and drummer Dino Danelli. They were known for their blue-eyed soul sound, which combined elements of rock, R&B, and pop music. The band achieved mainstream success in the mid-1960s with hits like "Good Lovin'," "Groovin'," and "People Got to Be Free."
The Rascals were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 and have been praised for their catchy melodies, tight harmonies, and energetic live performances. Their music continues to be celebrated and influential in the realms of rock and soul music.
