Third World is a Jamaican reggae band formed in 1973. They are considered one of the pioneering reggae bands and are known for blending reggae with elements of R&B, funk, pop, and rock. The band's original lineup consisted of Michael "Ibo" Cooper, Stephen "Cat" Coore, and William "Bunny Rugs" Clarke. Over the years, the band has had various members joining and leaving, but they have maintained a strong presence in the reggae music scene.
Third World gained international recognition with hits such as "Now That We Found Love" and "Try Jah Love." They have released over 20 albums throughout their career and have collaborated with numerous artists across different genres. The band has received several awards for their contributions to music and continues to tour and perform around the world, spreading their message of unity and positivity through their music.
