Thomas Wayne, born Thomas Wayne Perkins, was an American singer best known for his hit song "Tragedy." He was born on July 22, 1940, in Batesville, Mississippi, and began his music career in the late 1950s. Thomas Wayne recorded several singles with the Delons, a vocal group that included his sister, before achieving success with "Tragedy." Despite the song's popularity, Thomas Wayne did not have any other major hits and eventually faded from the music scene. He tragically passed away in a car accident on August 15, 1971, at the age of 31.
