Artist Bio:
The Thompson Twins were a British pop band formed in 1977. The group was originally a trio consisting of Tom Bailey, Alannah Currie, and Joe Leeway. They achieved commercial success in the 1980s with their catchy synth-pop sound and distinctive visual style. The band's name was inspired by the detectives Thomson and Thompson from the comic strip "The Adventures of Tintin."
Their most successful album, "Into the Gap," was released in 1984 and included hits such as "Hold Me Now" and "Doctor! Doctor!" The Thompson Twins were known for their innovative use of synthesizers and electronic percussion, as well as their energetic live performances. The band disbanded in 1993, but their music continues to be celebrated by fans of 80s pop music.
