Artist Bio:
Thunderclap Newman was a British rock band that formed in 1969. The band was composed of members Andy 'Thunderclap' Newman on piano, Jimmy McCulloch on guitar, and John 'Speedy' Keen on drums and vocals. The band was notable for being produced by The Who's guitarist Pete Townshend and signed to the Track Records label.

Their biggest hit was the single "Something in the Air," which was released in 1969 and reached number one on the UK Singles Chart. The song was written by Speedy Keen and became an anthem for the counterculture movement of the 1960s. Thunderclap Newman released one self-titled album in 1969 before disbanding in 1971. Despite their brief career, Thunderclap Newman made a lasting impact with their unique sound and socially conscious lyrics.
