Tight Fit is a British pop group formed in 1981, known for their cover of the song "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" which reached number one on the UK Singles Chart in 1982. The group was put together by record producer Ken Gold, and initially consisted of Steve Grant, Denise Gyngell, and Julie Harris. The success of their cover led to the release of their debut album "Back to the 60's" in 1982, which included more covers of 1960s songs.

After the departure of the original members, Tight Fit went through several lineup changes over the years. Despite not achieving the same level of success as their debut, the group continued to release music and perform live. Overall, Tight Fit remains best known for their hit cover of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and their contribution to the 1980s pop music scene.
