'Til Tuesday was an American new wave band formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1982. The band's original lineup consisted of Aimee Mann on vocals and bass, Robert Holmes on guitar, Joey Pesce on keyboards, and Michael Hausman on drums. They gained popularity in the mid-1980s with their hit single "Voices Carry" from their debut album of the same name, released in 1985. The song reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and earned the band a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.
'Til Tuesday released three studio albums during their career: "Voices Carry" (1985), "Welcome Home" (1986), and "Everything's Different Now" (1988). Despite achieving success with their debut album, the band faced internal tensions and creative differences that ultimately led to their breakup in 1989. Aimee Mann went on to have a successful solo career, while the other members pursued various musical projects. 'Til Tuesday's music is characterized by its blend of new wave, pop, and rock elements, with Mann's distinctive vocals at the forefront.
